JOB TITLE: Human Resources Associate
The Human Resources Associate will participate in the implementation and administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices,
including but not limited to; performance management, corrective actions and internal investigations, talent review and organizational changes,
completed in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Assist in all business functions to ensure consistent practices, procedures, and HR strategies are being executed
• Maintain employee records and HRIS system
• Arrange all onboarding efforts, including creation of offer letters, new hire setup across all parties, I-9 validation, and coordination with payroll department
• Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, source resumes and conduct preliminary interviews
• Manage FMLA, Long & Short-term disability and NY Paid Family Leave.
• Oversee commuter benefits and flexible spending account programs.
• Benefits administration: timely enrollment and termination of eligible employees, enrollment of terminated employees into COBRA system, review and approve all related invoices for accuracy.
• Provide input in the design and development of company-wide HR initiatives and programs to ensure alignment with business requirements
• Facilitate leadership development and key talent retention efforts (e.g. coaching/counseling, employee recognition, etc.) and partnering with HR Director to deliver soft skill training to employee population
• Liaise with external legal counsel for any immigration and work authorization needs, (OPT, J-1, and H-1B)
• Special projects that fall in any of the following areas: Benefits, Training and Development, HRIS, Payroll, Compliance, Employee Relations and Engagement
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in HR or Management preferably
• 4+ years' experience in an HR role
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work demands
• Prior experience using HRIS and TA systems a plus
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
